Downloading & Using the OM Matrix Gateway for the Humphrey Matrix ExamWRITER Equipment Interface

In order to use the Humphrey Matrix ExamWRITER equipment interface, you must ensure that the OM Matrix Gateway is open on the computer on which ExamWRITER is installed and that is connected to the Humphrey Matrix equipment. If the OfficeMate logo is visible in the Windows task bar at the bottom of the screen, then OM Matrix Gateway is open. If you right-click on the OfficeMate logo in the Windows task bar, select Shutdown, and select Yes when the prompt asks you to shutdown the OM Matrix Gateway application, you must restart the computer and the Humphrey Matrix equipment so that communication errors do not occur.

To download the OM Matrix Gateway program, follow the instructions below:

1. Click on the EW-OM_Matrix_Gateway Install.zip file that is attached to this knowledge base article.
   The File Download window opens.
2. Click Save.
   The Save As window opens.
3. Navigate to your OfficeMate Updates folder or another location on the computer on which ExamWRITER is installed and that is connected to the Humphrey Matrix equipment.
4. Click Save.
5. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the location (from step 3) where you saved the zip file.
6. Double-click the EW-OM_Matrix_Gateway Install.zip file.
7. Double-click setup.exe.
   The File Download - Security Warning window opens.
8. Click Run.
   The OM Matrix Gateway Setup Wizard opens.
9. Click Next.
