Reichert Phoropter Not Working (ExamWRITER Equipment Interface v11.2 and Above)

Issue: While using ExamWRITER 11.2 or above, you are unable to successfully integrate with the Reichert phoropter equipment interface. No .xml file is created after selecting to input autorefraction or presenting spectacle Rx information to ExamWRITER.

Resolution:

On the computer where the Reichert phoropter is physically connected, perform the following steps:

1. Close OfficeMate and ExamWRITER.
2. Download the updated Reichert.dll file [click here to download].
3. If you are asked whether you want to open or save the file, click Save.
4. Save the Reichert.dll file to the C:/OfficeMate or C:/OMATE32 folder folder on your computer. If you are asked if you want to replace the existing file, click Yes.
5. Navigate to the C:/OfficeMate or C:/OMATE32 folder on your computer.
6. Double-click the ~RegAllOME_DLLs.bat file.
   The new Reichert.dll is registered. You will now be able to input autorefraction or presenting spectacle Rx information from the Reichert phoropter to ExamWRITER.

The updated DLL will be included with a future version of OfficeMate/ExamWRITER.
