Abstract:

If you are using OfficeMate/ExamWRITER 8.0.25 or OfficeMate/ExamWRITER 12.0 or above, you have a database of ICD-10 codes available to use. The following codes in the database, however, are invalid or incorrect:

  • B02.09
  • G43.1
  • H0.93
  • H01.035
  • H05.553
  • H12.131
  • H16.00
  • H16.01
  • H16.02
  • H16.03
  • H1H8.469
  • H2.819
  • H31.02
  • H31.18
  • H31.40
  • H31.41
  • H31.42
  • H31.43
  • H35.0
  • H44.31
  • H44.32
  • H44.33
  • H52.333
  • H53.4
  • H58.819
  • J03.9
  • J32.09
  • S00.81
  • S05.23XA
  • S05.23XD
  • S05.23XS
  • T26.13XA
  • Z59.042
  • Z59.091
  • Z59.093
  • Z59.099
  • H26211

None of these ICD-10 codes will be auto-coded on ExamWRITER exams; however, you could potentially manually add them to ExamWRITER exams and OfficeMate fee slips. If these codes are included in insurance claims, the claims will be rejected. To avoid the probablility of this occuring, you can inactivate or delete these codes from your database (in verion 8.0.25: Setup>Customization>Diagnosis Codes; in version 12.0 and above: Setup>Third Party Setup>Diagnosis Codes). As a best practice, you should always make sure that, if you are manually coding exams or fee slips, you select valid and appropriate ICD-10 codes for patients.
