ExamWRITER and Eyefinity EHR Optovue Equipment Interface Not Working

Issue: You are unable to use the Eyefinity EHR or ExamWRITER Optovue equipment interface.

Note: This issue will be resolved in OfficeMate/ExamWRITER 14.0.

Resolution:

  1. Navigate to the Windows folder on your computer.
  2. Double-click the omequip.ini file to open it.
  3. Copy the [FREDD] section of text in the file. It will look similar to this:

    [FREDD]
    IamFREDD=yes
    PathXMLDataFile=C:\OFFICEMATE\EF_EHR_XML
    DeleteXMLDataFile=No
    PathFREDD-Que=C:\OFFICEMATE\EF_EHR_QUE
    EMA_URL=https://epmstaging.emaeye.com/ema/xml/
    Zeiss:FORUM=C:\Program Files (x86)\CZM\FORUM Viewer\api\launchforum.cmd
    ECRVault:Capture=
    ECRVault:Review=
    LoggingLevel=DEBUG
    ShowNotifications=No

  4. Close the omequip.ini file.
  5. Navigate to the EHR_EI folder (if you are using Eyefinity EHR) or OfficeMate folder (if you are using ExamWRITER) on your computer.
  6. Double-click the SetupEWEquipIF.exe file to open it. If you are using Eyefinity EHR with Eyefinity Practice Management, download the SetupEWEquipIF.exe file at https://s3.amazonaws.com/eyefinity.ehr/SetupEWEquipIF.exe and then double-click the file to open it.
  7. Enable the Optovue interface.
  8. Click Save/Exit.
  9. Reopen the omequip.ini file in the Win
